Mediterranean Falafel& Hummus

" HUMMUS AND FALAFEL WITH A SIDE OF PITA BREAD "

 Hey guys ! Today I'll be sharing my personal favourite recipe . A scrumptious snack along with Hummus dip

For this recipe you will need the following :

INGREDIENTS :- (For Falafel)

1)  White chickpeas - 1 cup(soaked for 8-9 hours )

2) 1/2 large onion - Roughly chopped

3) 2 tsp Parsley/ Cilantro - Roughly chopped 

4) Salt- 1 tsp.

5) Chilli Flakes- 1/2 spoon 

6) Garlic- 4 Cloves ( chopped )

7) Cumin powder- 1 tsp.

8) Baking powder - 1 tsp.

9) Flour ( Maida )- 4-6 tsp.

PROCEDURE:-

1) Place all ingredients in mixer grinder , process under blended and not pureed 

2) Place into refrigerator for 6-7 hrs 

3) Make medium sized& round  patties and place them in a plate 

3) Pre heat Oxy fryer for 5 minutes at 160' C . Arrange the Falafel's in fry basket and close it properly . Keep at 160'C for 25-30 minutes . Turn the Falafel's over in between and cook uniformly .Seve hot with Hummus and Pita Bread 

OR

Heat oil and fry the patties until golden brown !!

Serve with Hummus and toasted pita bread .

INGREDIENTS :- (For Hummus )

1) White Chickpeas- 1.5 cup(8-9 hrs soaked )

2) Olive oil - 1/2 cup

3) Garlic paste- 1/4 th spoon

4) Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp.

5) Red chili powder- 1/2 tbsp.

6)Roasted cumin seed powder - 1/2tbsp

7)Til (Sesame seeds ) - 1/2 cup roasted and powdered 

8) Coriander leaves and some salt

Procedure 

1) Add olive oil and til  (sesame) into mixer grinder and blend till smooth and frothy 

2) Add rest of the  ingredients into  mixer grinder and blend it .

3) Open and check the consistency . If course add some water and blend until smooth and creamy 

4) Ad olive oil and transfer it into a bowl

 Serve it with the freshly baked Falafel along with toasted Pita Bread !!
